Otic antibacterial and antifungal solution for external use for regular hygiene of the auricle and of the external auditory canal and / or for ear cleaning prior to the application of a treatment in case of otitis externa.

Adjuvant cleansing solution for chronic or frequent otitis:

Canine otitis is one of the most common pathologies in animals, with a predominance in dogs of between 10 and 20% and in cats between 2 and 10%.

External otitis is an inflammatory process that affects the auricular pavilion and the external auditory canal, and may affect the tympanic membrane. It often evolves to chronic or recurrent otitis with continuous cycles of infection and inflammation and resistance to antibiotic and antifungal treatments.

Biofilms

In many bacterial infections, especially the most persistent, such as infection by Pseudomonas aeruginosa, a very common and difficult to manage agent in otitis, the presence of microorganisms is accompanied by biofilms, polymer structures secreted by the microorganisms themselves that hinder the effect of antimicrobial treatments , making it difficult to eliminate these pathogens and strengthening their resistance to antimicrobial treatments.

External otitis has its origin in different factors.

• Predisposing factors: for example the anatomical configuration (long ears, excess of hair in the auditory canal, excess production of cerumen), increases the risk of otitis.
• Primary factors triggering otitis. Allergies (atopic dermatitis, allergic reactions to food or drugs ...), parasites, foreign bodies, excessive keratinization of the pavilion and / or ear canal, endocrine or metabolic causes, neoplasia, autoimmune diseases, etc.
• Secondary factors that do not cause otitis but contribute or cause an additional pathology in an already affected ear. Bacteria, such as Pseudomonas, Staphilococci, etc .; yeasts (Malassezia, Candida).
• Perpetuating factors such as calcification, fibrosis, hyperplasia, otitis media, etc.

Directions for use recommended by the manufacturer:

• Put the ear canal as vertical as possible, press the container and apply the necessary amount to fill the canal according to its capacity. Subsequently carry out a gentle massage at the base of the ear for the correct distribution. Follow the instructions of your veterinarian.
• In case of simultaneous administration with antibiñoticos, administer separately and with a difference of 30 minutes.
• Suitable for pets. Dogs, cats, ferrets, rabbits and rodents.

Preferential expiration: 2 years.

Conservation: keep below 30ºC. Once opened, keep in the snowfall. It lasts 30 days.
