It is recommended for use in companion animals with diarrhea, which may be caused by:
- Oral treatments of broad-spectrum antibiotics.
- Alterations or changes in diet.
- Food allergies or intolerances.
- Intestinal infections (parasitic, viral, bacterial).
- Pancreatic problems, malabsorption syndrome.
- Chronic liver disorders.
- Stress or stressful situations.
These causes can unbalance the intestinal flora, which is the main defense barrier in the intestine. Diarrhea is the main symptom of intestinal disorders, as a consequence of the imbalance in the microflora. Diarrheal processes can quickly lead to dehydration states, mainly in low-weight animals.
How to use
The recommended minimum administration are twice a day during a period of 3 days, since it is customary to treat acute diarrhea, but depending on each case and at the discretion of the veterinarian, this guideline can be modified.
For comprehensive management of diarrhea, appropriate dietary management may also be necessary, as well as rehydrating the animal to compensate for fluid loss.
Administration
- Remove the cover.
- Adjust the syringe collar to the required dose level.
- Administer orally, through the side of the mouth.
