Pro-Enteric Triplex® is recommended in the symptomatic management of diarrhea, since thanks to its triple exclusive composition it recovers the beneficial intestinal microflora that is altered in these animals, and makes the stool more solid. Recovering the balance of the intestinal microflora restores the defense barrier in the intestine.

Better digestive efficiency is also facilitated, since a balanced flora is a source of digestive enzymes that help the enterocyte to better absorb nutrients.
Each PRO-ENTERIC Triplex syringe contains:

  • Symbiotic:
    • Probiotic: Enterococcus faecium DSM 10663 / NCIMB 10415) 4b1707, 2.6 x 108 CFU / ml.
    • Prebiotic: FOS and Acacia (Gum arabic).
  • Kaolin.
  • Pectin.

Pasta with flavoring.

Pro-Enteric Triplex® acts more effectively against unbalanced bacterial flora thanks to its new symbiotic formulation.

Enterococcus faecium is a probiotic that promotes the mechanism of competitive exclusion, fighting the overgrowth of pathogenic microorganisms that cause diarrhea in companion animals. Through competitive exclusion, it prevents pathogenic microorganisms from remaining in the intestine and obtaining nutrients, thus recovering the normal intestinal flora.

The prebiotic is the specific substrate for beneficial bacteria such as Enterococcus faecium. By administering the bacteria together with its specific substrate, the beneficial effect of the probiotic is enhanced, since it increases its viability. The combination of probiotic and prebiotic is called a symbiotic.

Kaolin has the ability to retain bacteria and toxins, preventing them from acting on the intestinal lining. It makes the stools more solid, by also retaining water. Therefore, it has an adsorbent function of capturing water and tozines from the intestinal lumen, obtaining less liquid stools.

Pectin thickens liquid stool, due to its ability to retain water and normalize intestinal peristalsis. Pectin normalizes intestinal peristalsis and offers a protective effect on the mucosa.

It is recommended for use in companion animals with diarrhea, which may be caused by:

  • Oral treatments of broad-spectrum antibiotics.
  • Alterations or changes in diet.
  • Food allergies or intolerances.
  • Intestinal infections (parasitic, viral, bacterial).
  • Pancreatic problems, malabsorption syndrome.
  • Chronic liver disorders.
  • Stress or stressful situations.

These causes can unbalance the intestinal flora, which is the main defense barrier in the intestine. Diarrhea is the main symptom of intestinal disorders, as a consequence of the imbalance in the microflora. Diarrheal processes can quickly lead to dehydration states, mainly in low-weight animals.

How to use

The recommended minimum administration period is 3 days, since it is customary to treat acute diarrhea, but depending on each case and at the discretion of the veterinarian, this guideline can be modified.

For comprehensive management of diarrhea, appropriate dietary management may also be necessary, as well as rehydrating the animal to compensate for fluid loss.

Administration

  1. Remove the cover.
  2. Adjust the syringe collar to the required dose level.
  3. Administer orally, through the side of the mouth.
