Kerato Maintenance Shampoo

Physiological shampoo for the maintenance of dry and lightly peeling skin.

It contains a combination of gluconolactone and salicylic acid that produces a keratolytic and mild keratoplastic effect, useful for keeping skin hydrated and clean.

For seborrheic, dry and peeling skin.

Alterations of keratinization or "seborrheic syndrome" group together a group of dermatoses frequently presented in canine dermatology, the most striking clinical manifestation of which is desquamation.

Seborrhea manifests as a thickening of the stratum corneum of the epidermis due to a skin exfoliation defect, causing accumulation of dead cells (in the form of scales) and secretions in the animal's skin.

Most of the keratoseborrheic processes are complicated by bacterial or Malassezia infections.

Control of seborrheic disorders of the dog's skin

The Kerato line contains gluconolactone, in addition to other components such as urea or salicylic, lactic, glycolic, citric, malic and tartaric acids that exert the keratolytic and keratoplastic effects necessary to cleanse the skin and eliminate dead cells. They also help to nourish and regenerate the structure of the skin and maintain its balance.

It does not have undesirable effects so it can be used even in animals with sensitive skin

Gluconolactone applied topically, promotes acidification of the stratum corneum, improves the action of ceramides, favors lipid maturation of the epidermis and increases cohesion between corneocytes, promoting a barrier effect.

It has a keratolytic, exfoliating, keratoplastic, moisturizing, antioxidant and antimicrobial effect.

Dosage: weekly baths with Kerato maintenance shampoo must be maintained until the complete remission of the condition and even afterwards, to maintain the physiological conditions of the skin.
