Calmurofel® is a veterinary product specially recommended for cats with feline idiopathic cystitis.
The combination of all the ingredients of Calmurofel helps to maintain and recover the inner layer of glycosaminoglycans in the urinary bladder of cats and to reduce the impact of the main risk factors, such as stress and obesity.
How does Calmurofel work?
Chondroitin Sulfate and Glucosamine HCl, fundamental components of the internal layer of the urinary bladder of cats, help repair the internal layer of glycosaminoglycans in the urinary bladder of your cat and reduce its permeability and exposure to infectious microorganisms. In addition, thanks to its analgesic effects, help reduce inflammation and pain.
L- Tryptophan is a precursor of serotonin, the neurotransmitter that controls the behaviors related to anxiety and stress, which reduces the impact in situations where these factors are present.
Oralvisc® is an exclusive formulation of hyaluronic acid that helps regulate excess body weight, reducing the serum levels of leptin, a hormone involved in the obesity process.
Administration way: Oral.
Dosage: Initially it is recommended to administer daily for 4 to 6 weeks. Administration can be done in a single shot a day, following the administration guide.
- Weight less than 3 kg: 1 capsule per day.
- Weight greater than 3 kg: 2 capsules per day.

Presentation: Calmurofel comes in capsules with palatable powder. To facilitate the intake by the animal, the Calmurofel capsules are designed to be able to open and empty their contents on the animal's food. If the animal eats dry food, it should be lightly moistened with water so that the powder adheres well. You can also mix the contents of the capsules with a small amount of wet food, to make sure that the animal ingests all its contents.
In chronic cases, a maintenance schedule can be applied reducing the dose and considering lengthening the administration depending on the evolution of the signs.
